ASHLAND, Ore. — A suspected bank robber is in police custody after a Bank of America was robbed in Ashland just before noon on Monday. It happened at 2305 Ashland Street and police say he did not display a weapon but held his hand in his pocket implying one.
Just a few minutes later, 42-year-old Jason Lee Swindler, of Medford was spotted in the area of Clay Street and Clear Creek Drive and matched the suspect’s description.
He was arrested and police say they recovered the money that had been taken, along with evidence of the crime. Swindler is now in the Jackson County Jail on charges of robbery 2nd degree, theft 1st degree and interfering with a police officer.
