GRANTS PASS, Ore. — Grants Pass Police arrest one suspected bank robber the same night another bank is hit by someone else.
Police say, last night, a man entered U.S. Bank on Allen Creek Road. He demanded cash and took off with it on foot. As police were searching for him, they located 53-year-old John Perdue.
They say Perdue responsible for four bank robberies, from February to early April. Police located Perdue and his car near an apartment complex.
“That led us to watching the place and seeing the suspect actually walk away from the car. We called in more people and it ended up surrounding it and as we actually approached, he was up on the porch and we took him down at gunpoint,” said Grants Pass Dept. of Public Safety Lt. Jim Hamilton
The new bank robber is described as a white man, about 40 to 50 years old, around five-eight to 6 feet tall.
