Suspect Injures and Threatens Police

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — Sunday evening officers from the Klamath Falls Police Department were dispatched to the Dutch Brothers in the Dollar Tree parking lot, according to a press release.

Police say a male was threatening people with a handgun and wearing body armor.  When Officers arrived on scene they located the suspect standing at the drive up window on the north side of the coffee stand. He was wearing a military-grade flak jacket with a handgun attached on the front and concealed under his jacket.

Police say the male refused to comply with orders and a fight ensued with officers.  Police say the suspect reached for a handgun several times, however officers were able to wrestle the handgun from him.

The suspect Kale Donovan Miller, 30, was lodged at the Klamath County Jail for multiple charges including unlawful possession of a firearm, and menacing.

Kale Donovan also made threats, saying it would be his life mission to kill the officers involved and their families. According to a press release, two officers were injured during the incident and one was treated at Sky Lakes Medical Center and released.

According to a press release, a deputy from the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office assisted the city police during this incident.
