ASHLAND, Ore. – A man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting two small children in Ashland.
Police said on September 3rd, they were notified of two male children, age 5 and 6, having been sexually assaulted by a known 19-year-old man, who was reportedly left in charge of the children as a babysitter.
Police say officers arrested 19-year-old Avery Simpson, a Medford resident. He was lodged at the Jacskon County Jail on four counts of sodomy in the first degree, a Class A felony.
Ashland Police say the investigation has also lead to another alleged victim in Indiana. Police in Ashland say they are working with Indiana law enforcement in that investigation.
Ashland Police report Avery Simpson is originally from Indiana, though he is known to have spent time in the Medford and Portland areas in the last two years.
