Sunny & Warm Labor Day

video preview image

Today will be very similar to the weekend with temperatures a few degrees warmer to start a warming trend that will last through midweek.  Sunny skies will be with us through the next several days as high pressure sits offshore.  We had spotter reports of less smoke yesterday across our region, even at my own house I saw no smoke!  A few areas today could still see smoke but looks like the continued trend of fewer areas dealing with smoke will be the story today.  Northern California and Lake county will be the most likely places to see smoke today.  As of this morning air quality across our region is ‘Good,’ for the most up to date air quality reports see the link under ‘Weather Links.’

For the next couple of days we’ll continue to see strong winds at the coast with gusts up to 30 mph possible today. A Small Craft Advisory is in effect through tomorrow, something to keep in mind if you are headed to the coast today, especially if you’re headed out on a boat.

As we head into the end of the week and the weekend we’ll see a drastic cool down with a possible drop in temperatures from Wednesday to Sunday of   ten degrees!  A low pressure system moves in off the coast causing the cool down, depending on its strength will determine how cool we get this weekend.  For now I have kept highs in the mid-80s, but as we get closer to the weekend I may need to drop temperatures even further!

Remember to like me on Facebook and send me you enjoy the weather or just pictures of the weather and I’ll try to use them in the morning show and put them on the website!

Thanks for logging on and have a great Labor Day!
