A weak cool front will approach Southern Oregon and Northern California Sunday, but little in the way of clouds will be noted, plus temperatures will cool by 4 to 6 degrees. Saturday’s high in Medford was 96, and the projected high on Sunday is 89. There will be some windy conditions east of the Cascades, so Red Flag Warnings for fire danger have been issued.
On Labor Day, the front will bring showers to the Coast, possibly a few sprinkles to Josephine county and Douglas County, while spotty thunderstorms are expected to develop over the mountains and east of the Cascades. Some dry lightning and winds will keep the Red Flag Warning going.
The storm sits around Tuesday through Thursday, bringing partly cloudy skies to the Rogue Valley, and a slight chance for a shower or thunderstorm over the mountains and east of the Cascades.
Friday and the upcoming weekend will be sunny and warmer.
