High pressure still sits over the area. Temperatures warmed into the mid 90’s in Medford Wednesday afternoon. The quite, but hot & dry weather is not forecasted to change in the coming days. Clear skies are going to continue into the coming days.
As a thermal trough begins developing and lifting north, an offshore flow is going to enhance the Chetco Effect towards the end of the week in Brookings. Temperatures are anticipated to rise into the low 80’s. Very isolated thunderstorms will begin popping up into early next week in Siskiyou County and will also be possible in the lower East Side. This will be a problem for fires, as very little precipitation will fall. Winds will have to be monitored closely even into the weekend with the dry weather.
