MEDFORD, Ore. — Around 2:30 a.m. on Monday morning, fire crews from Medford and Jacksonville responded to a first alarm fire at an apartment complex near Oak Grove Rd. and West Main St.

Crews were able to confine the fire to a car port, but no estimates of the damage have been made at this time. The complex was evacuated and no injuries have been reported.

The Medford Fire Chief said they “had heavy fire in the car ports and numerous explosions as fuel tanks and other things would set off during the fire.”

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
