Family Escapes Safely from Fire

CENTRAL POINT, Ore. — A family safely escapes a house fire Monday afternoon.

Medford-Fire and Fire District No. 3 responded to a home on the 400 block of Grand Avenue in Central Point. Crews said the homeowner made the initial call. They believe the flames started in one of the back bedrooms. Crews were able to contain it to that room.

Neighbors say they heard the homeowner’s child knocked over a space heater starting the fire. Investigators could not confirm that are still looking into the cause of those flames.
