Nice sunny day today in Medford and most of the Rogue Valley. The high temperature at Jackson County International Airport reached 51, but some low clouds and fog were stubborn in Grants Pass, where the high only reached 44.
A storm is quickly approaching from the Gulf of Alaska, and will arrive in the morning along the Pacific Coast and by midday in the Western Valleys. Snow levels initially will be about 5,000 feet, but will drop to pass levels quickly in the early afternoon. By nightfall and during the day Wednesday, expect 3 to 5 inches on Lake of the Woods and Diamond Lake highways.
Snow levels on Wednesday will hover near 2,000 feet around the Rogue Valley, but not accumulation is expected…just cold winter-like weather. (Is it beginning to feel a lot like Christmas?).
