Another quiet day is ahead as high pressure continues to sit over our region. Temperatures will be a few degrees cooler today, but still warm & above average. The offshore wind will weaken today, so the high in Brookings should be cooler than past days. Winds will pick up across all locations throughout the second half of the day.
Patchy smoke in Northern Klamath and Northern Lake Counties is possible from the Two Bulls fire burning in Bend, but conditions should be similar to yesterday. Klamath Falls and Lakeview are reading “good” for air quality as of this morning. The Valley will be smoke free again today.
Throughout the work week a cooling trend will take place. Light and isolated showers have been added to the forecast along and west of the Cascades for Friday. However, this low pressure system is not bringing in much moisture, and sprinkles are likely as opposed to measurable rain. The weather is then shaping up nicely for Father’s Day — partly to mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures!
