Staying Cool through the Week

video preview image

A cold front moved through earlier today dropping temperatures 10 to 15 degrees compared to yesterday! Clouds are beginning to clear and will continue to do so through the evening so another chilly evening is on tap. Tomorrow the low associated to the cold front will shift south bring rain showers to the region and snow showers about 4,500 feet. Most areas will be dry until the afternoon and northern California won’t see the rain until tomorrow evening as showers move from north to south. Winds will pick up again tomorrow afternoon and the coast, ridges and east side could see gusts up to 20 to 25 mph.

Showers will diminish by Wednesday morning and we’ll see increasing sunshine in the afternoon which will continue into the weekend. There is a slight chance for showers on Saturday, mainly at the coast and Cascades but that’s about it for rain. This week is relatively quite weather-wise. Temperatures will get chilly Thursday and Friday morning and we could see some west side valley frost again. A gradual warming trend will begin Thursday into early next week, but highs will remain unseasonably cool by about 5 degrees.
