State Police Hires 24 New Troopers

SALEM, Ore. — Oregon State Police (OSP) swore in 24 newly hired troopers on Sunday. According to OSP, this was the first group hired to start training as a career trooper since September of 2011.

Troopers go through 26 weeks of training. Two troopers will work at the Central Point Area Command Office, one will work at the Grants Pass site and two troopers will work at the Klamath Falls Area Command Office.

According to a press release, OSP is planning future hiring to fill other vacant positions at several locations around the state.
