Stabbing In Medford

MEDFORD, Ore. – A fight between two homeless men ends with one man stabbed and the other behind bars.

Medford Police say it happened around 10:30 pm. on Monday night in a field near the intersection of Highway 99 and Highway 238.

Officers say the men were in a homeless camp in the area and were intoxicated, when they became engaged in a verbal argument, which then turned violent. Police say Richard Gregory Albers stabbed Timothy Hilbert Williams (aka “Little Feather”) one time in the chest.

Medford Police say immediately after stabbing Williams in the chest, Albers called 911 and started rendering medical aid to Williams. Williams was transported to RVMC where he is currently listed in stable condition. Williams was alert and talking when he was loaded into an ambulance.

The Medford Police Department says Richard Albers was arrested and transported to the Jackson County Jail where he was charged with assault in the first and second degree.
