St. Mary’s School Adds Solar Panels

6-17 ROB WEB STMEDFORD, Ore. — A project under construction on the rooftop of Saint Mary’s in Medford will not only supply green energy, but also add to the science curriculum once students return this fall.

A 40 kilowatt solar panel array is being installed thanks to a $200,000 grant from Pacific Power’s Blue Sky Campaign. School officials said not only will the solar panels help the school go green, but students in some classes will draw examples from the data from the energy production. The solar panel project should be wrapped up at the school in about a month.
