High pressure returns this weekend bringing sunny, warm and dry conditions back to the region. Mornings will be cool but temperatures will climb quickly into the 70s for west side valleys and mid-60s on the east side! Low clouds could persist at the coast Saturday but inland sunshine will be abundant besides some patchy morning fog in the valleys. The ridge will flatten some on Sunday as a weak front approaches bringing our next chance for light showers overnight Sunday into Monday morning. Temperatures will drop closer to average on Monday as will snow levels, down to 3,500 feet and we could see 1 to 3 inches of snow in the Cascades. Diamond Lake and Lake of the Woods may be impacted by snow on Monday but dry and sunny conditions return Tuesday and Wednesday which will quickly melt any new snow on the roads.
Next week temperatures will remain closer to slightly above average as we head into the official start of Spring on Thursday. On the first day of Spring we’ll see our next chance for showers.
Thanks for logging on, happy Friday and have a great weekend!
