Spotty showers are moving through the viewing area. This is a disturbance that came in from the the South and East. By midday it should pass by, and sky conditions should begin clearing up. Afternoon highs are going to be about five degrees cooler this afternoon compared to Monday.
A disturbance just off the Coastline is going to aid in thunderstorm development later this afternoon. The primary areas to be concerned about are Northern Klamath & Lake Counties, the Cascades and the West Side Valley. The winds will be rising through late afternoon in the Klamath Basin and with relative humidities dropping into the teens, dangerous fire conditions will be a problem with any dry thunderstorms that do develop.
Following today, temperatures will remain similar Wednesday before heating up quite a bit into the weekend. A vast area of high pressure is going to expand over the West and once again bump our temperatures into the triple digits. Triple digit highs are expected through early next week.
