A low pressure that brought heavy snow to the mountains and northern California will be shifting south today with the wrap around the low and an open flow for waves of energy to move in we’ll continue to see a chance for light showers through the day, mainly at the coast. Any showers inland through the morning will be in the form of snow down to the valley floor, but not expecting any accumulation, at most a dusting. In fact, I think most areas will remain dry today inland, especially on the east side as any showers will be very spotty today.
High pressure will begin to build in tomorrow but really won’t strengthen until the weekend, so the chance for light snow showers will continue for the mountains tomorrow with decreasing clouds across the area through the day. Sunny skies and unseasonably warm afternoon temperatures will be with us all weekend, but those cold overnight lows aren’t going anywhere. A great weekend to dress in layers! Next week we’ll see another chance for rain.
I have snow reports from this strong storm on my Facebook page and will continue to add weather reports. Thanks for logging on and have a terrific Thursday!
