Running into the Record Books    Henley distance runner Taylor Wallace sets a new state record time 4:28.79 in the women's 1,500 meters at the Prefontaine Classic.  Wallace's time is the fastest mark in Oregon in 23 years.    The Southern Oregon Riverdogs get timely hitting to grab an early 6-0 lead of their Sunday doubleheader with the Nor Cal Pirates.    Paul Pierce saves the day again for the Celtics, as Boston grabs a 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals behind a big 21 point performance off the bench from Leon Powe.  


State Championship Saturday It was a strong showing in state championship games for Southern Oregon teams, as three local squads capture state titles in thrilling down to the wire finishes.  Ashland baseball, Grants Pass, and Crater softball all are bringing home state title hardware, while Henley softball falls in barnburner to Marist.
