CENTRAL POINT, Ore. — The fishing lines are reeling, the jungle cats are performing, and thousands of people are learning about outdoor recreation.
It’s all part of NewsWatch 12’s Jackson County Sportsmen’s and Outdoor Recreation Show. More than a hundred vendors are at the Expo in Central Point.
There is something for everyone from fishing demonstrations to performances by cats found in the jungle including a 4 pound Geoffrey’s that has the power to take down a 20 pound monkey.
The fun continues until 9 p.m. It starts back up Saturday morning at 10 a.m. Adults get in for $6 and you can get $2 off on Friday and Sunday with a bi-mart coupon. Children under 12 get in for $1.00 under five are free.
The fishing demonstrations will be held every hour on the half-hour.
The live Great Cats of the World shows are Friday at 1:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; Saturday at 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m.; and Sunday at 11:00 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.
The show runs at the Jackson County Expo in Central Point on Friday from noon – 9 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.; and Sunday 10:00 a.m. – 5 p.m. Adults get in for $6, Children under 12 are $1, and under 5-years-old are free.
