Southern Oregon Red Cross Volunteers Headed To Montana

By Rob Scott

MEDFORD, Ore. — Three Southern Oregon Red Cross volunteers flew out of Medford on Tuesday to help those displaced by the wildfires in Montana.

Phil Gonzales got the call last night and said he was packed and ready to go within fifteen minutes. Gonzales will help with distributing food-checking people in to a shelter.

The other two volunteers will be sent to help with damage assessment and distributing supplies. Gonzales and the other two volunteers will land in billings tonight and will start working tomorrow. The volunteers could be in Montana for as long as three weeks.
