ASHLAND, Ore. – After averaging 23.5 points per game in two road wins last weekend, Southern Oregon’s Melissa Sweat won the Cascade Collegiate Conference’s Player of the Week award. It is the fourth such award this season for Sweat in only six weeks.
In beating Simpson and California Maritime, Sweat totaled 47 points, 15 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks, 3 steals and 4 3-pointers. The Div. I transfer now ranks second in the NAIA Div. II with a 66.7 FG percentage, fifth in 3-point percentage (.514) and sixth in ppg (19.7).
The Raiders will host Eastern Oregon and College of Idaho this weekend.
