ASHLAND, Ore. — More than 1,000 students became graduates as Southern Oregon University’s Commencement Ceremony Saturday. Young adults and their families filled Raider Stadium this weekend for the event. This means the graduation crowd will also be filling Ashland businesses. Case Coffee Roasters employees say this is the biggest day of the year. But the experience is bittersweet.
“We bond with these students that come in, and then they’re gone. We spend four years of our lives with these people and then they leave, but then a new class comes in,” said Case Coffee Roasters Manager Eric Loeffler.
Saturday was also graduation day for students at The Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls.
