SOU Clinches Share of Conference Title

ASHLAND, Ore. – In the Frontier Conference Preseason Coaches’ Poll, the Southern Oregon Raiders were picked to finish 5th in the conference. Montana Tech was picked to finish 6th. A full season of play later and the two teams competed for the conference title.

The Raiders entered the game on a 5-game winning streak while the Orediggers were undefeated in their last eight games. The ‘Diggers had no answer for SOU’s potent offense, however, as Austin Dodge finished the first half with over 300 yards and two touchdowns. The offense finished with 697 total yards en route to a 46-28 victory.

The win clinched a share of the conference title and a spot in the NAIA National Playoffs. More information on the playoff bracket will be provided over the next week.
