This is a fluid list of cancellations around Southern Oregon due to smoke:
Troon Vineyard did have to cancel their ZIN & BBQ BASH scheduled for Saturday, August 3rd, due to the smoke. They will, however, have some anniversary treats featured indoors in their Applegate Tasting Room. They’re open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday.
The Guided Park Walks in Lithia Park for August 3rd and 4th have been CANCELLED.
Dan Meyer Pool is OPEN. They will base their decision to remain open on a day by day basis, but they most likely plan to stay open for the weekend.
Fill The Boot Firefighter Event has been POSTPONED.
Movies in the Park for August 3rd has been CANCELLED.
Jackson Pool is open. They will base their decision to remain open on a day by day basis, but they most likely plan to stay open for the weekend.
Softball Tournament At US Cellular Park – NOT CANCELLED. They have shortened a couple of the games in the last few days but not cancelled any. Today they are back to their normal 1 hour, 40 minute games. They are basing cancellations on a day-by-day basis.
Redemption Run & Dinner – CHANGES: Redemption Ridge was originally scheduled to host a 5k/10k run through the heart of EdenVale Winery and dinner after, but it has moved to the inside of the mall. The dinner, however, is still at the winery.
Show & Shine – NOT CANCELLED. The event is still scheduled to go as planned on Saturday 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Twin Creeks Park.
D.A.R.E. To Cruise – NOT CANCELLED. The event still scheduled for 6-9 p.m. on East Pine Street.
Fantastic Flea Market (8/3) – CANCELLED
Cavemen Pool – CLOSED – Will reopen on Monday, August 5th, if the air quality improves
Grants Pass Growers Market (8/3) – THEY MAY CLOSE AT 12 p.m.
First Friday Art Night (8/2) – NOT CANCELLED
The Grants Pass Swim Team is having their Swim-a-Thon on Monday; it will be moved to YMCA Indoor Pool and held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The G-PAC Swim Meet has also been moved to the YMCA Indoor Pool. Start times are tonight at 5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday at 9 a.m.
Illinois Valley/Cave Junction:
Blackberry Festival for August 3rd and 4th – NOT CANCELLED – As of now, Blackberry Festival is still scheduled to go on this weekend. They say unless conditions get absolutely “wretched” they will still plan on having it.
