ASHLAND, Ore. — Retail giants own Black Friday and online orders dominate Cyber Monday, but sandwiched in between those retail shopping days is Small Business Saturday.
Here in the Rogue Valley, shoppers looking for holiday gifts were shopping local especially along the stores in downtown Ashland. Hatsetera owner Nancy Christmann said she made preparations for Saturday and even saw a big crowd on Friday.
“We get to see our friends and neighbors. We love having them come out during the holidays and get that special, personalized service and help choosing their gifts,” said Christmann
Small business owners say personal service and donations made to local non profit organizations are some of the benefits of shopping locally.
