ILLINOIS VALLEY, Ore. – A sky-diving company, looking to make its home in the Illinois Valley, may be heading to Josephine County in part because of a lawsuit.
Eugene Skydivers is suing Creswell, because they say the city is violating a lease agreement and banned parachuting. The city says they did so only after private skydivers complained of nearly being hit by the skydiving planes.
The city says they’ve also received complaints of skydivers jumping through clouds. The Federal Aviation Administration’s decision on restoring landing rights for skydivers at hobby field is expected in November.
