ORLANDO – EJ Singler’s professional career quietly opened on Sunday. The former South Medford and University of Oregon basketball star made his debut with the Detroit Pistons’ summer league team in Orlando. The Pistons defeated the Brooklyn Nets 76-67, but Singler played under seven minutes. He missed his only shot of the game and finished with two personal fouls. EJ’s brother Kyle is not expected to play during the summer league, but he was there to train with the team. Detroit will play Boston at noon on Monday.
