MOUNT ASHLAND, Ore. – The stormy weather has brought 20 inches of new snow to the slopes of Mt. Ashland over the past 24 hours
There was heavy fog at the top on Friday. Many people are anxiously awaiting the start to the ski season and some are already trying to enjoy the weather. Officials say the 20 inches that fell over the last 24 hours had the perfect packing moisture content. It means they’re on track to open for those eager winter sports fanatics.
“They kind of live for it. so there’s a lot of angst right now people want to get on the snow they want to get the most out value out of their season or they just want to spend a day on the mountain,” Mt. Ashland Rick Saul
Even though there was 20 inches of measurable snow groomers were out packing that snow down on Friday. After that’s done, they’ll be able to get a better idea of the exact opening date.
