Another round of rain showers will continue today across all locations. Snow levels will stay around 4,000′ which will lead to travel impacts above this for accumulating snow. Between 2″-5″ of snow is likely above 4,500′ today …but the accumulation closer to 4,500′ will be into this evening. High temperatures will remain cool as a result of the mostly cloudy skies.
The moist onshore flow will bring more showers into Thursday for the region, but a much more potent storm will drive inland come Friday. This will bring widespread moderate to heavy rain Friday at the Coast, and Friday night through Saturday for the West Side.
Initially snow levels will be high on Friday, climbing between 6,000′ and 7000′ but they drop quickly later Friday with the arrival of cold air. Friday night and through the weekend they’ll be between 3,000′ & 4,000.’ More accumulating snow and travel impacts are likely for the high country and potentially Siskiyou Summit through this time frame.
