Shopping to Save Lives

yard saleMEDFORD, Ore. — The Southern Oregon Humane Society is trying to raise money for its animals this weekend by holding a yard sale.

For the past couple months the shelter has been collecting donations to sell.  People can find anything from furniture and toys to dog beds.   Volunteers are hoping to raise $2,000, and so far they have reached half of that goal.

“Well you can never have too much in a place like this, being a non-profit you know, there is always something coming up, something breaking down, needing repaired,” said Howard Eddings, a volunteer with the Southern Oregon Humane Society.

The sale is going on Saturday and Sunday at the Humane Society headquarters off of Table Rock Road.  All of the proceeds from the yard sale go back to the humane society and the Saving Train rescue program.
