GRANTS PASS, Ore. — A sexual predator will face close to seven years in prison for his crimes. Ryan Mulkins, the prosecuting attorney, said 63 year-old Richard Parmelee was sharing child pornography on an online program called Limewire. In 2011, investigators confiscated his computer and found multiple files.
On Monday, Parmelee tried justifying his actions telling a judge he had those files not for sexual purposes but for marketing and research use.
The state recommended 75 months in prison, which the judge agreed to for his sentencing.
