Sex Predator Sentenced to 90 Days

GRANTS PASS, Ore. —  A Grants Pass man will serve time for sexually abusing three children at a day-care facility.

In March 2012, police arrested 61 year-old Tommy Dunn for abusing those three female victims who were all five years of age or younger. They say the abuse happened at the day-care facility his wife operated. On Friday, Dunn plead no contest to three counts of attempted sexual abuse in the 1st degree. He was sentenced to 90 days behind bars.

“Mr. Dunn took accountability for what he had done and this prevents those very young victims from having to testify a trial, which I know was something that they did not want to do,” said Josephine County Deputy District Attorney, Ryan Mulkins.

The day-care Dunn’s wife operated called “Almost Home Pre-school and Child Care Facility” has since been closed.

90DAYS! What kind of justice system is that! Abuses small children, and then only gets 90 days, the judge should be thrown off the bench. At least 3 years or more, what are they thinking about, he will be out in 3 months ready to do it again… Our justice system should no longer be called JUSTICE, Fire the DA and anybody else involved in this plea bargain..

90 days is a joke..that’s not even a slap on the wrist for this CRIME AGAINST CHILDREN! It’s rediculous.

  3. Jenny says:

This is an outrage! These children will have to deal with this the rest of their lives. He took accountability, REALLY !! He gets a slap on the wrist. If your a parent or grand parent this sentence is a slap in the face!

  4. Lynne says:

He gets 90 days, the children he abused have life sentences. There is no justice in our system for children or women!!! I don’t care if he did get a plea bargain. He deserves much much much more time plus castration!

  5. Gayle says:

Since this story came out I have been waiting for Tommy Dunn’s name to appear on the Josephine County Jail “current inmates” & so far, it has not! Does he really have to serve any time at all? Does he get to just walk away with time served? What is wrong with this picture?? Oregon has the least amount of laws that protect women & children….& this certainly proves that fact! Sad state of affairs!
