MEDFORD, Ore. — One of Oregon’s U.S. Senators is visiting Central Point to see a clean energy fuel station. Senator Jeff Merkley says it’s just one step to end America’s dependency on foreign oil.
By the end of the year, this clean energy station will provide a liquid form of natural gas. It is just one of 150 stations across the country creating a network that will eventually allow truck drivers to travel nationwide. Senator Merkley says this is important to our transportation infrastructure.
The LNG Station is located behind the pilot off Exit 33 in Central Point. It will also include a pump for compressed natural gas which some private vehicles can use.
