WILDERVILLE, Ore. — A Selma woman is flown to a Rogue Valley hospital after a 3-vehicle crash that shut down part of the Redwood Highway on Monday morning.
State police says that the driver of a Volvo station wagon, 37-year-old Gisa Hertler, swerved to avoid hitting a Toyota Camry that pulled in front of her. That’s when the Volvo bounced into oncoming traffic, plowing nearly head-on with a semi-truck and trailer.
Herlter had to be airlifted to a Rogue Valley hospital, likely with serious injuries. The highway was closed for about 90 minutes during the incident.
