Another Arson at Vacant Home in Medford

Fire2MEDFORD, Ore. — An early morning arson torches a vacant home in Medford. Police say it’s the 14th arson at a vacant home in the past year.

Firefighters responded to the home at 1704 West Main Street just before 4:30 a.m. Police say the fire began at the back of the house and damaged much of the building.

Officers say this fire may be linked to the other suspicious fires at vacant homes in west Medford, but said so far they have not been able to find a suspect.

“We don’t have any witnesses, we don’t have any suspicious calls, and we would really like to identify this guy and put a stop to this, because we do think it’s going to continue until we catch this guy,” said Medford Police Lt. Mike Budreau.

Anyone with information on this fire or other suspicious fires in Medford is asked to call Medford Police.
