A shortwave trough moved through the region yesterday bringing some clouds into the area. It is also responsible for more seasonable afternoon temperatures today and tomorrow before the ridge over the nation shifts west. As we head into Friday expect to see the return of well above normal temperatures, talking about close to triple digits in the Valleys and northern California.
Winds will be picking up this afternoon along the coast with gusts up to 20 mph. Afternoon strong winds will be with us through the weekend at the coast. Winds will shift to offshore as the ridge moves in which will warm temperatures at the coast quite a bit, around 70 degrees.
Stay hydrated and stay cool out there!
