MEDFORD, Ore. — A future Eagle Scout puts community donations to work Saturday morning in a Medford warehouse. Bryce Thornton spent all morning creating care packages for soldiers serving overseas.
The items going into the boxes are all paid for with donations from local businesses and citizens. Some of the care package contents include toiletries, food, games and books.
So far, Thornton already sent out 2,000 boxes. Each box costs $13.50 for shipping alone. If you’d like to donate for shipping or items you can check out the project’s web site.
