MEDFORD, Ore. — You may have heard of “heirloom” tomatoes and seen that they can be more expensive than their “modern” counterpart. They can also have a less uniform shape and some different coloring.
Heirloom means “tomatoes with a past!” and there is a difference between heirloom and hybrid. OSU Master Gardener Mary Foster has more on the pros and cons of growing heirloom tomatoes.
