GRANTS PASS, Ore. – Labor Day is the last day of summer for students in Grants Pass; Tuesday is back to school. As students prepare to hit the books, Grants Pass wants to remind drivers to hit the breaks. School zones will be 20 miles per hour during school days.
Grants Pass officials want to remind drivers to never pass a school bus on the right and to always stop when a school bus is loading or unloading children. They add to always be on alert at intersections in the mornings and afternoons when children are waiting for buses.
Commuters in Grants Pass can expect heavier traffic in the mornings with the school buses and parents dropping off their child at school. The Grants Pass DPS says officers will have heavy patrols around school zones and will be cracking down on violations around school buses.
