ASHLAND, Ore. – Ashland is holding its first Saturday farmer’s market of the season. It’s the third year the market has been held at its downtown location on Oak Street.
Space was maxed out with over thirty growers, food producers, and craft makers, plus some live entertainment.
The market is a smaller version of its sister Tuesday event in Ashland. Both are put on by the Rogue Valley Growers and Crafters.
Coordinators say the Saturday market allows them to better tap into the tourist crowd that comes for the weekends.
“We can cater to both the people who can’t make it to the Tuesday market who are here local, as well as all the tourists coming to visit Ashland,” said Market Manager Abby Hogge.
The Growers and Crafters Market makes its debut in the Downtown Commons in Medford next Saturday.
Organizers say around 70 vendors are expected to be set up for that event.
