MEDFORD, Ore. — Rain continues to hit the Rogue Valley and residents are stocking up on sand bags just in case water levels get to flooding levels.
Lowe’s in Medford put in an order for more sand bags on Friday afternoon, anticipating more people needing sand bags as the rain continues to fall. Store officials say weather can be unpredictable, so they try to keep supplies in stock at all times.
“If you are in an area that’s prone to flooding, you should get in while you can. We can never predict the full amount when we see weather like this, of how much we can keep in and how quickly they go. If you need it and it’s an emergency, get in before it’s too late,” said Lowe’s Assistant Manager Nick Knudutson.
