BEAVERTON, Ore. — A suspect sought in connection with an assault involving a Samurai sword was arrested Thursday by Beaverton Police Department.
Back in November in the Grants Pass area, Oregon State Police say 23-year-old Preston James Sweaney allegedly used a Samurai sword during an argument.
Police say Sweaney caused laceration wounds to his 23-year old brother during the assault. He then allegedly fled the scene.
Sweaney was arrested Thursday afternoon by Beaverton police in the 14000 block of SW 6th Street. He was lodged in Washington County Jail.
Oregon State Police say charges are pending in Josephine County for Assault in the Second Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
