Some students who are now in their nineties attended the reunion. The school’s actual birthday is May 16th 1914, but Saturday was the big celebration. Dozens of people looked at old photos, yearbooks and sifted through old memories.
The rules for teachers in 1914 were on display at the party. A current teacher at the school says reaching 100 years is a big deal, considering what the school has faced.
There were also fun things for kids at the centennial celebration; face painting, gold panning, along with food vendors and a storytelling booth.
