MEDFORD, Ore. — Police say when a driver ran a red light on Friday afternoon it led to a rollover crash in downtown Medford. 4th and Central Street had to be blocked off after the accident.
A 70-year-old driver in an SUV went through the red light, and a car going through the intersection crashed with the back end of his car and the impact caused the vehicle to flip over.
“Luckily, the driver of the SUV was seat buckled in and he did not sustain an injury, which is fantastic. Usually when you have a rollover accident, you have a very high likelihood of an injury,” said Medford Police Lt. Mike Budreau.
The driver of the SUV was charged for running a red light.
