MEDFORD, Ore. — The Medford Rogues made the West Coast League playoffs in their first year as a franchise. To get there, Medford needed a late push, along with a complete collapse by the Bend Elks. The Elks lost their last six games, allowing the Rogues to make the post-season by virtue of a tie-breaker. Monday night, the Elks and Rogues met up for the first time since that late season collapse.
Texas Pan-American freshman Victor Garcia Jr. homered twice in his Medford debut as the Rogues beat the Bend Elks 7-3 on Monday night. The game was the home opener for Medford, who improved to 2-2 on the season with the win.
