Rogue Duck Derby Kicks Off

GRANTS PASS, Ore. — Thousands of rubber ducks floated down the Rogue River Saturday. Competitors spent $10 per duck for the chance to win one of seventeen prizes while helping feed the hungry and help a local high school.

Three quarters of the proceeds will go to the Josephine County Food Bank, while the rest will help build a new track facility at Illinois Valley High School. The grand prize winner was Richard Surroz of Grants Pass, who won $15,000 toward a new car.
