CENTRAL POINT, Ore. – Cheesemakers from across the state, are meeting in the Rogue Valley to celebrate a decade of a favorite artisan food.
The 10th annual Oregon Cheese Festival runs from Friday to Sunday, with different events happening each day. Friday night kicks off with the “Meet the Cheesemakers and Winemakers Dinner” at the Ashland Springs Hotel. On Saturday guests will enjoy an outdoor experience full of samples and demonstrations. Sunday the “Double EE” competition challenges cheesemakers and brew masters to create great tastes together along with a story behind each pairing.
The Meet the Cheesemakers and Winemakers Dinner will be held at the historic Ashland Springs Hotel in Ashland Friday night, March 14th from 6:15 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. Organizers say tickets for the dinner were sold out Friday morning.
The Oregon Cheese Festival will be open to the public Saturday, March 15th from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. at Rogue Creamery, 311 North Front Street, in Central Point. The $15 entry fee includes tastings and demonstrations. An extra $5 wine, beer and spirit tasting fee includes a commemorative glass with the Oregon Cheese Guild logo.
The “Double EE” is the Sunday, March 16th, from 10 A.M. – 2 P.M. at Rogue Creamery. Tickets are $50 per audience member and the event is limited to 100 guests.
