Robinson Fired by Oregon State

CRAIG ROBINSONCORVALLIS, Ore. — Oregon State University announced Monday morning it has relieved head coach Craig Robinson, effective immediately.

“I want to thank coach Robinson and his family for their contributions to Oregon State University,” said OSU Athletic Director Bob De Carolis.  “This was a difficult decision, but after further evaluation, I believe it is in the best interests of our student-athletes, our basketball program and our university.”

Robinson has more than three years remaining on his contract and the university is expected to owe him more than $4 million.

Robinson’s six year tenure ends with a 93-104 record and no NCAA tournament appearances.
