GRANTS PASS, Ore. — Beginning Wednesday, construction crews will begin the installing new water services on NW E Street in Grants Pass.
The city of Grants Pass stated the installations are necessary to prepare for the abandonment of an aging 16 inch cast iron water main. Construction crews will conduct the water service work on NW E Street, between NW Fry Street and NW Elm Street.
The city of Grants Pass said NW E Street will be closed to through traffic between NW Fry Street and NW Elm Street during the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4 p.m. from January 2nd to January 4th and January 7th to January 11th.
Detours shall be established on NW Elm Street and NW Fry Street to direct traffic around the work zone via NW D Street. Due to adverse weather conditions, the work is estimated to take at least one week to complete
